Logan w/ baby hat I made

In this picture, Logan is only 5 days old! How cute.

I pulled out my knitting needles for the special occasion & knitted up this cute baby cap.

I have an order for exact replicas for Mom & Sis.

New Nephew w/ Daddy

Was born w/ a full head of hair, sideburns & a HEALTHY appetite. Just like his Dad.

My nephew Logan was born today!

What a beautiful baby! He was born 1:15 AM at 9 lbs. 1 oz., measuring 20.5 inches. Gina (Mom) sure was a trooper & delivery went very well.

Apple Hill

CT & I came up to Sacramento to visit the family & went up to my FAVORITE fall getaway in N.CAL, High Hill in Apple Hill. It was SOO crowded. We went in the afternoon, and it was still out of control. The wait in line for pie was ridiculously long, but still worth it. We cooked it that night when we got home & it was SOOOOOOO good. Dangerously so.

It's officially fall.

Got my Wedding Dress

Got my Wedding dress at House of Fashion in Mid-town Sacramento. Really love the shop. It's on J street & has REALLY helpful staff. I tried on about 10 dresses, but ended up going w/ the 2nd one I tried on.

Now all I need is the venue!

Wedding Dress shopping

Went for a dress consultation w/ my Maid of Honor SH at David's Bridal & liked these two. Still early in the game to decide. Was only my 1st outing.

We're Engaged

Went to Lucille's BBQ & told our family. We were actually engaged last Saturday Sept. 29th, but we weren't visiting family in Northern CA until this weekend. We wanted to tell everyone in person. CT proposed on the Santa Monica Beach, right near the ocean edge at night. Very beautiful.


Let the Wedding plans commence! I'm going to try & keep my patience & sanity during this time, since we want to get married January 26, approximately 3 months away.

Blk polka dot w/ cherries tie shirt-new sleeves

Changed the flutter sleeves to puffed sleeves. The flutter option looked ridiculous w/ thi matterial & gave me angel wings. Not cute. Like this much better!

My new sewing machine! Viking 400

Sunday night I tried to start a new project, but my machine was NOT co-operating. So, I decided to take it back. The tension & bobbin case have had issues from the start.

I've been looking at Vikings for some time now. Just dreaming.

The sewing arts center -3330 Pico Blvd, Santa Monica was very helpful & the guy there convinced me I needed the 400 (upgradeable & w/ embroidery options) instead of the Emerald 113 ( basic machine). It wasn't very difficult to convince me, because the last 2 machines I have had have been very basic. My 1st was a refurbished Singer that gave me nothing but problems. The Brother was ok, but try anything more than a straight stitch on slow speed & you're in trouble.

This new machine is lovely. Only prob. is parts and servicing are very pricey. I feel like I'm driving a Mercedes now, and don't miss my Buick at all.
