After doctor apt. confirmed we went out to celebrate on Main street near Venice.

CT & I are expecting our 1st child.
I'm 5 weeks along & due date is around February 3, 2009.

I'm going to sew some maternity clothes in my 2nd trimester.
Then baby clothes after we know if it's a boy or a girl.

Join us on this roller coaster ride.

Finished McCalls' 5555

Finished this shift dress. Came out ok, but about a size or 2 too big for me. So, if anyone makes this, go down at LEAST one size.

I made the belt a little different, I wanted a wider version.

If I make this again (which I doubt), I will use a thinner fabric than the knit I used. Also, the neck is quite a bit high for me. I think I may move on to another pattern, since there are soo many cute ones out there. This one made me miss my BURDA WOF projects, since the fit is soo good w/ BURDA, & so-so w/ the big 4.

Olvera St. in downtown L.A.

Decided to check out the oldest part of L.A. this early afternoon. Was pretty nice. They had live music & native dancing.
