BWOF 2-2008 125 Boule dress

I finished this project earlier this week, but I've been behind on my posts.
This wasn't a particularly difficult pattern, but I ran out of black thread in the middle of the project. A week ago I could have sworn I had 2-3 spools of that stuff.
Review:
Easy pattern & ok instructions, a bit tricky near the pockets area. Another one of those looks that would be much better worn by the teens or slender body types. Twiggy would Rock this!
The front folds have nothing behind it to keep your tummy in. But, I guess that's why God invented Spanx. This would be cute w/ flats & leggings. Haven't worn it out yet.

Korean store snack

my secretary (or assistant if I'm being p.c.) brough these corn pop snacks intot he office to share. They are sooo yummy I had to share. Buy them at your local Korean market. They are like corn nuts but not hard, more crunchy. No broken teeth.

Luau botanical gardens

botanical garden at Smith's Luau

We had a great time in Kauai. CT is "Mr. Travel Planner", so we saw just about EVERY inch of the island. We started off in the south, then went west, then east, then north. I think the helicopter eco tour & Luau in the east were the highlights for us.
The north was very lush, the south was more humid, but beautiful. Best food was grassfed beef hamburger at Camphouse grill in Koloa (south) and grilled Mahi Mahi at the Luau.
Also tried Poi & roasted pig. They were ok. Poi is ok if w/ the salmon chutney, and pork was salty. Mai Tai's were good. Sneak up on you. The Luau had a huge Botanical garden & GREAT show after dinner w/ dancers & fire. Got our $$ worth.
