Here's the finished shirt. The collar is a bit crooked, but it's just my 1st run. My next one will be in red. The pattern is quite close fitting, contrary to Simplicity's norm. They usually run a bit big. I had a blast figuring out my buttonhole stitch on my Brother CS-100 sewing machine. Even though I got it for around $200 at COSTCO, it's been a great learning machine & has survived a beating.
I'll do things a bit fifferently next time. Probably use a thicker fabric, since this was a bit difficult to work with. And put the collar in last, since I had to adjust the closure to fit which off set the collar an inch or two. Overall, not bad. Will continue to try new patterns.
Have to start the M&M quilt for Talynua's baby boy Maverick. Already cut the squares, just need to start sewing. She's due in early October & I want to get it to her in 2 weeks so she has time to co-ordinate the rest of the room.
